Revolution...it's about time!
Codepoke recently linked the Barna Group on home church. I heard an interview with George Barna and did some digging. J Lee Grady reviewed Barna's book Revolution and the discussion that followed lasted for months!
This is a book that I need to read asap.
I haven't regularly attended a traditional church for a few years. The thought of "going to church" makes me break out in excuses, but it really is time to get over it and get into the community.

Wherever He leads you I know that you will be a blessing. Others need you as much as you need them.
Thank you, KB. Maybe I'll come to your congregation!
i read Revolution in 2006 and it gets one of my "best books" of the year vote
we are the church, wherever we are
no buildings necessary
this morning, my elderly neighbours are coming over to watch a dvd that features their grandson - he was young australian of the year and in 2006 hosted a "make poverty history concert" in Melb that Bono performed at - they didn't know anything about it, so I'm about to make them proud of their grandson who is out there making a difference in his way for his generation
sounds like church to me :)
Love to have you P ... but it might be a bit of a drive/flight on Sundays :)
Exactly, kel! You are Jesus in skin!
KB, I'll just get Mr.P to drive--he's all about gettin'there, remember?
I began a new home group in November with the intent purpose of going places I have never gone before ... vulnerable and transparent places. Not sure all 15 of us are ready to go there yet ... takes time to get to know each other ... to get comfortable sharing your heart ... people are at different places. Last week we talked about living and trusting from our hearts and I was encouraged when one of the guys talked about being vulnerable. I think that we all have deep longings for meaningful friendship. Blessings as God leads you P.
