Five Things...

people don't know about me--

Well, that depends. If you are a blog buddy, you don't know this.

1. I have my nose pierced.

2. I have worked in construction. Two of the most memorable times:
leveling a house by shimming one pier at a time, mixing and pouring concrete in a crawlspace;
taking a hit right in the face by a piece of sheet metal--my choice were to jump off an 8 ft ladder onto concrete or drop a $400 drill!

3. My mother bear scares me--one time while I was pregnant, I saw a figure walk into my back yard holding something in his hand. I had my under 5 girls and their two under 5 cousins in the house. I ran to the back door and yelled at him to get out of here! before he turned around and revealed that he was a meter reader. Momma Bear has come out a few times since then--no negotiating with her!

4. I would love to parachute out of an airplane.

5. I would have made a GREAT detective!

Savannah Christmas Pt 1

On the road to Savannah, we followed the Gulf Coast thru Mississippi and Florida. We saw the devastation left by Katrina.

We stayed at this Days Inn on our last trip through here.

We toured the U.S.S. Alabama in Mobile, AL. Amazing to imagine the action on this ship during WWII. Can you imagine the feet that made those marks on the stairs?

Dolphin watching! No pictures of the dolphins--that's like trying to take a picture of lightening!

And the whole reason we went to Savannah for Christmas~

We stayed on Tybee Island outside of Savannah. I can't say enough about waking up to an ocean sunrise. Brilliant...I asked for one good storm while we were there, and it got there on Christmas morning! Giant crashing waves, driving rain- just like the movies--only I was there!

And my crazy girls! Wonder where they get that? Remember, it's December!

Part ll Soon!

Happy New Blog!

For all of you still hanging in there, checking up on me even when I'm scarce, this is for you!

Life is full, life is busy, but relationships matter. People matter. You matter, I matter. (Matter is one funny word if you say it or write it over and over). The point is, we all have value.

You make my day.
